Train as a Counsellor

Become a Counsellor

Relate Cambridge works with individuals, couples, families, children and young people and can offer training and employment opportunities to both experienced practitioners and those interested in becoming counsellors.

Training bursaries may be available. Once qualified, counsellors are paid for the sessions they deliver, with the exception of one voluntary hour a week.

Volunteering Vacancies

Evening Receptionist volunteer

To welcome clients to the Centre and support the counselling appointments process.

  • The oppourtunity to meet new people, give back to the community, and learn new skills.
  • Great introduction for those considering counselling as a career.
  • Flexible hours.

Maintanence/ odd-job volunteer

To assist in the general up-keep of the centre and may include the likes of DIY jobs, decorating, installing new equiptment and furniture to the building.

Become a Trustee 

Relate Cambridge, part of the UK's biggest provider of relationship counselling, is looking to recruit two or three Trustees.  We are looking for individuals who can help the Board through their business or professional experience, their understanding of counselling interventions or of mental health provision, or their wider practical understanding of the trends in relationships and society.
